Welcome, all past pupils of HRC, Marist Brothers PE, Trinity and St Dominic's Priory!
We are trying to give all our past pupils a continued sense of belonging to our school family and a way of knowing what happened to their classmates. With permission, we will try to put our alumni in contact with each other. If you want contact information for a listed classmate, please email the school and we will do our best.
Request: Please email photographs with the relevant information to the school (sdphs@priory.co.za). We will attempt to post photos of reunions, past pupils, weddings, etc.

St Dominic’s Feast Mass and Celebrations 2009
This was our premier event of the term as our name feast celebration. Once again the whole school community was able to participate. The Mass in the big marquee was a special reminder that we owe the founding of our school to St Dominic and the religious community he inspired with his life and work. We were also reminded of all the schools that came together in this school. We had many past pupils of Priory, Holy Rosary Convent, Marist Brothers College and Trinity High School attending the Mass, tea afterwards in the Hall and the evening function. On the Saturday we had a Derby Day where the Gr 9 Market Day, inter house Hockey and Soccer matches, as well as past pupil matches took place. This celebration is on our calendar every year. The Feast of St Dominic is on 8 August. This will take place on a long week end from time to time as SA Women’s day is on 9 August.
PAST PUPILS REPORT 2009
The Past Pupils Association continues to grow with each year with the word spreading and many more registering on the school Alumni website. www.priory.co.za
The St Dominic’s Day festivities around the schools feast day on 8 August has proved to be a great success. This year the annual cocktail evening showed growth with 170 past pupils, retired teachers, sisters and friends of the past schools joining together in celebration.
REUNIONS 2009
- Marist Brothers 50 years
- Marist Brothers 30 years
- HRC 30 years
- Trinity 25 years
Our hope is that this function will grow and that past year groups will use this week-end as their base for their school reunions. To organise your own reunion, contact the school and we will assist wherever possible.
The Past Pupils Association is not only based on bringing people together but we also support the following PROJECTS within the school which we can divide into three broad themes:
- The Present: Annual Matric Leaver's Dinner: We help to sponsor the event and offer any assistance we can to the school for the Dinner. We want to welcome the current Matrics into our ranks.
- The Future: Our major development project is a Sports Pavilion at the school that will provide a much needed facility for the school - but also allow us to honour all the founding schools and provide a venue for get togethers and social events for all current and past members of this school community. There is a lot of fund raising ahead to make this dream a reality.
- Outreach: Our committee has adopted a project whereby we support the Siphokazi Trust: a trust established to take care of the education of an orphan, Siphokazi, who was taken in by a St Dominic's Priory family.
