Here is where people, One frequently finds, Lower their voices And raise their minds. ~Richard Armour, "Library"
When you walk through the library’s doors, you will be greeted with a smile from the librarian. You will see learners at tables surrounded by reference books, perhaps for a research project. You will notice one learner in the corner reading today’s newspaper, others are seated at the tables studying for that big test. As you circle the library you see the wealth of books displayed on wooden shelves, from fiction books in English and Afrikaans, reference books such as encyclopaedias, dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. Out of the corner of your eye you see four new flat screen computers in use by some learners for internet research.
St Dominic’s Priory Library caters for all learning areas and all ages. Mrs Farrow, the librarian, is always increasing her book, magazine, encyclopaedia and newspaper supplies for the young interested minds at Priory. Mrs Farrow will always welcome you as you enter her learning environment. Her smile reflects her great love for books and she is always searching for books that one can learn from.
Come and see our wonderful library at Priory.
